Welcome to my blog. I meant to create this space to share infos with the people living my same (hellish) situation. I’ ll try to be concise in the introduction and list as many symptoms and signs I can remember (I had an I'm having a LOT)
I’ m a guy in my 30s, heterosexual, who did a silly
thing on a summer night some 2 years ago. After a binge drinking I had sex with an acquaintance of mine who is
an addicted and a girl who makes a lots of bare sex..
What is worst I made it WITHOUT a condom… Sadly, I can’t put the clock back otherwise I wouldn’t ever asked her to have sex with me that night.
What is worst I made it WITHOUT a condom… Sadly, I can’t put the clock back otherwise I wouldn’t ever asked her to have sex with me that night.
As you all can figure out, she was keen to do it after
few and useless “no” and without even caring if I was wearing a condom..She is
used not to care about her partners wearing a condom after all… Me, I had a
high alcohol level in my blood and couldn’t care less of having safe sex in
that moment. Istinct was my enemy since I suspected her health wasn’t ok but I
wanted to screw her nevertheless. As soon as I came, I started panicking about
having caught something. My fear skyrocketed the following days , together with
the guilt for cheating on my beloved fiancé.
About a week later I noticed a rash on my penis head
and foreskin ( I’m uncut) , looking a lot like candida but more strong and it
could well have been herpes. It heals by itself after two weeks leaving dry
skin and cracks on my penis skin and a feeling of painful skin. The worst was
yet to come though. Now I try to list all of my symptoms trying to stick to a
timeline and being as accurate as possible (it is more than two years since
that damned night..)
I actualy started panicking about having caught someything from her the very moment the intercouse finished but when I found out I had enlarged lymphnodes near my collarbones I really freaked out.. This happened 1 months after the exposure and like 20 days after the onset of balanitis. Then LOT of symptoms started to pop up and I'm going to list them all. I'll also list the tests I ve been taking since exposure and other infos about CBC.
4 September 2015. High risk vaginal exposure
14 September . Balanitis
4 October. Found out enlarged lymphnodes in my neck (collarbones)
Since October Ive been suffering from:
Weird discomfort in my elbows and stabbing random pains in my fingertips and toes (neuropathies)
Pains and aches all over the body (like fibromyalgia pains)
Severe tiredness and weakness
Dizziness, fainting feelings, vertigo, nausea
Severe itching all over my body
A rash at 80 days mark (forehead, back of neck, back of hands.. photosensization??? I really was sure I had hiv at this point.. there were lot of little red dots like small bumps and the skin was very itchy. It lasted about a week then resolved by itself)
Episodes of purpura that is small red dots (micro bleeding) on my upper arms
Jock itch (never suffered before..) that started 1 months after exposure and lasted several months then I managed to heal it with tea tree oil but I never suffered from this before...
Other weird blemishes on my skin
Extremely dry and flaky skin especially on forearms, hands and face (my seborrheic dermatitis worsened a lot on my face and scalp also)
Episodes of dishydrosis (small fluid filled blister on my fingers and back of hand, very itchy)
Low absolute lymphocite count - 1200 in a range that goes from 1200 to 4000 ...
ESV and RCP out of range even if slightly
Burning, crawling, pricking and stinging feelings all over my body skin (face, lips, arms, thighs, hands. etc, buttocks..) that come and go at random times during the day
very small "remission" periods when I feel quite "healthy"
A costant feeling of being cold , having the flu , having chills and being unwell despite my body temperature is lower than 36 Celsius degree (average is 35.5 do the math to get the Farenheit)
Muscle , bones , sometimes joints pains
Rhinitis , vasomotor or allergic even though I m negative to allergic tests.. I sneeze at random times during the day without a definite trigger
Very disturbed sleep, vivid dreams, unrestoring rest
Several episodes of night sweats
Strange blemish on my palate (roof of the mouth) happened and went away on their own in 10 days. It was a red bump that hurt if touched . another time I had itchy palate and it was covered with a lot of red dots...
My skin is more prone to folliculitis especially my buttock, my thighs and my shoulders
I have many witish spost on my shoulder that looks like pitiriasys versicolor
I found I have a very hard, fixed , lymphnodes under my jaw.. went for a check and dr said it is not malignant but reactive that means I could have an ongoing infection.
Lately I'm having penis infections. I have a genital wart since last June that didnt go away. Also I had penis thrush without having sex with my gf nor with other girls.
I took a urethral swab that came back positive for Ureaplasma urealyticum and so did my gf.
I also have a strange bump of the same color of the skin on my penis glans. I'm going to be checked soon by the dermatologist.
Overall my symptoms match Fibromyalgia, CFS and especially HIV.
I had this high risk esposure and the source girl' health is very bad (I', actually sure she is in AIDS as she is experiencing severe wasting, chronic cough, fevers, herpes bouts, etc..) She said to me on several occasion that she took the test and she is negative (but can I trust a drug addicted? Also, if she had a rare undetectable strain?)
Also my lymphocite dropped to 1200 from a baseline of 1600 (first blood check 2 months after exposure) in one year and remained the same at 2 years mark. I also donated blood to be checked for HIV RNA since drs didnt want me to take other tests.
I've been to several specialists and they always said HIV is to be ruled out and they can't find anything wrong. They also say my lymph are good as they are in the range... but they are actually at the bottom end..
Everything points to hiv infection and my gf is also experiencing vaginal infections, random pains, folliculitis and strange headaches..
ONLY thing that is AGAINST a HIV infection are my tests:
I took 4 Elisa test , 2 only Antibodies and 2 Combos at the following time marks:
70 days: HIV1/HIV2 method ECL. Antibodies NEGATIVE
100 days: HIV1/HIV2 Combo NEGATIVE
1 year : HIV1/HIV2 method ECL. Antibodies NEGATIVE
2 years : Hiv1/Hiv2 Combo + PCR NAT (on donated blood) NEGATIVE , not detected
So you can see I took several test and most well beyond the window period. I also took a PCR NAT that is done as a screening on donated blood bags. Yes, I donated blood as that was the only way to get a PCR NAT. The blood bank declared me ABLE to donate so I should be safe. But my health is deteriorating and my neuropathies worsen day by day.
My worries are I am infected with a rare undetectable strain of HIV, a recombinant or who knows what or I caught another unknown virus as the timing of my symptoms really match the exposure risk.
I'm also aware there are a lot of people in my same hellish boat as I keep reading on forums about undiagnosed conditions very similar to mine. I can't find sometimes any update on their situation as they posted some years back and that scares the hell out of me because I fear they could have died in the meantime...
I created this blog hoping many of you will join it so that we can share our ordeals and maybe together find a way out or push the Science to find what is harming us.
Hugs from a scared and desperate guy like you

So it wasn't laboratory or test faults but rather a host issue to develop antibodies against coupled with an aggressive disease course which lead to AIDS in a short time (for documented cases it took only about 4 montha from transmission to AIDS)
